deep waters

They saw the works of the Lord, his wonderful deeds in the deep” (Psalm 107:24, NIV)

The scripture says is Psalm 107:23, “They that go down to the sea and do business in deep waters, they will see the wonders of God.” Friend, you and I were created to do business in deep waters. In other words, we’re not supposed to have little dreams or little plans. We are supposed to have big dreams. We are supposed to go out into the deep things God has for us.

But understand, when you’re out there in the deep waters, you can’t touch the ground. You can’t see the shoreline, and at times, it can get a little rocky. You may not always see how things are going to work out. But, the scripture tells us that deep calls to deep. In other words, God is the one who has called you to the deep waters. He is with you, and He knows there are deep things on the inside of you. Remember, in deep waters, you are not alone. God is with you, and He’s causing those deep things inside of you to come forth.

If you feel like you are out in the deep today, if you feel like you are overwhelmed, remember, you are in the right place and God is with you. You will see His wonderful deeds in the deep, and you will fulfill the plan He has in store for you.

Movements of the mind

“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past” (Isaiah 43:18, NIV).

Every person, no matter how much faith they have or how good a person they are will face disappointments. It may be something simple like not getting that promotion you really hoped for, or not closing that big deal you worked so hard on. Maybe you didn’t qualify for a house you really wanted. Or, it may be something more serious like a relationship not working out, the death of a loved one, or some kind of illness in your body. Whatever it may be, the reality is that we’re all going to suffer some setbacks. But I believe one of the main keys to overcoming disappointments is learning to let go of the past. The past weighs you down and holds you back.

If you feel “stuck” today, you may want to examine what you’re holding on to. Be willing let go of the past by choosing forgiveness. Who hurt you? Who wronged you? Release it to God. Do you need to forgive yourself? Do you need to receive God’s forgiveness? Make the choice today to let go of the past so that you can experience the bright future God has in store for you!

Whispers

Even through our hectic lives, its important to have some quiet time. How else will we hear God’s whispers of direction and love? So take a break and listen.

Thank God for yesterday, it brought us to today; thank God for today, it was a gift, and for tomorrow because our footsteps are already ordered by God.

“God brings men into deep waters not to drown them, but to cleanse them”-John H. Aughey, If it feels like you’re drowning it might be God reworking your future.

In Genesis, God created the whole universe out of nothing. Next time you believe you have nothing ask God to make something out of it!

Why do people assume if you don’t go to church, your not a christian? Do they not realize God is everywhere, not just in churches.

Lord you open doors that no man can shut, and shut doors that no man can open! I trust you with every door. Let Your Will be done.

Everyday there are stones in life, but at the end, God will turn them into gems and set them in a gold crown.

I was saved by a blood donor-JESUS.

Expect more

“…Prepare the way for the Lord” (Isaiah 40:3, NIV).

Everyone goes through seasons of waiting. A lot of times, people just sit back and wait for God to do everything. But you have to remember to do your part and make preparations. You have to talk like it’s going to happen and act like it’s going to happen. And even if things don’t turn out the way you had hoped, you’d still be better off living your life positive and hopeful than you would to go around down and discouraged.

I love what David said in the Bible, “God, my times are in your hands.” He was saying, “God, I don’t know when it’s going to happen, but I know You know what’s best for me.” So I’m going to go out today expecting good things. And even if it doesn’t happen, I’m not going to go to bed all disappointed. I’m going to go to bed knowing that I’m one day closer to seeing my dreams and desires come to pass!

Fighting battles that don’t matter

Many of the challenges that come our way in life are simply distractions to try to lure us from our destiny. Every day we have the opportunity to get upset—maybe someone is talking about you, or a competitor at work is spreading rumors, or a friend says something that they shouldn’t have. When this happens, you have to ask yourself, “If I engage in this battle and spend my time and energy trying t…o defend myself or trying to prove that I’m right, if I win this battle, what is the prize going to be?” For example, if someone cuts you off in traffic and you get all upset and cut him off in return, how is that going to benefit you? You don’t even know the person! What’s the point? There are no spoils. That’s not a battle that is worth your energy.

The reason many people are missing out on God’s best is they’re distracted fighting battles that don’t really matter, trying to prove themselves to others, trying to win over their critics, playing up to someone, trying to get their approval. Instead, choose to keep your focus and attention on becoming more like Jesus so you can fulfill the destiny He has prepared for you!

joy found in his presence

“You have made known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand”
(Psalm 16:11, NIV)

Do you need more joy in your life today? God promises that joy is found in His presence. If you’ve accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior, then His presence lives inside of you! Joy will manifest when you focus your mind and heart on the Father and begin to praise Him for what He’s done in your life. The Bible says that He inhabits the praises of His people. When you praise and thank Him, you are in His presence where there is fullness of joy!

It doesn’t matter where you are or what’s going on around you, you can access the joy that’s inside of you anytime, day or night. And know this: God wants you to experience His supernatural joy and peace at all times. That’s why He chose to live inside of you and give you an endless supply. Don’t waste another minute feeling overburdened and discouraged. Let the joy of the Lord be your strength and move forward in the victory He’s prepared for you!
